What information do you require before commencing a website design project?

Before I start to design your site you will need to provide the following:

  • Your domain name of your site.
    If you don’t have a domain name yet I suggest you read my domain name advise page before you purchase one).
  • A description of what your web site will be about (e.g. what you do or sell etc.)
  • If you have a company logo you will need to provide a good quality digital version of this to use on your site. If possible the original version is best.
    If you don’t have a digital version of your logo or don’t have a logo I can create one for you.
  • A list of the page titles for your website such as 'About Us', 'Services' and Portfolio etc. (optional)

If you already have a hosting account you will also need to provide Login details for your sites cPanel as we will need to upload several files and create a databases on your server.

Do you provide hosting for web sites?

Yes, I can provide hosting at just £1 a month (£12 a year)h. Both my web design packages inlcude free hosting for one year.

How long does it take you to design a website?

As soon as your payment (or deposit) has cleared and all required information has been sent to us me will start work on your web site design straight away.

You should receive a mock-up image of what your site will look like within 2 working days, if you’re happy with the design I will then start work on building the website this should take about 5 working days. You will be sent a email at the end of each day updating you on the progress of your new web site.

Ecommerce (eShop) designs may take a little longer due to integration with Avactis shopping cart which involves a lot more work, although I will try my upmost to keep within the 5 working days.

I would like an ecommerce web site to sell products online, do you provide this?

Yes, I offer an eShop web design package which includes a licensed version of Avactis. Avactis is a 3rd party commercial based shopping cart system. View their site for further information.

When you design a website, do you use templates?

No, when I design a website set I always start with the blank canvas, I base the design around your company's image or your personal preference.
